Letha Brown, 99 of Sulpher City, passed away Monday, December 16, 2019 at her home. She was born May 9, 1920 in Wayne County, IA to Eddie Guthrie and Ida Mae Linville-Guthrie.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband of 32 years, Rase Brown; brother, Edward Guthrie and sister, Evelyn Bailey.
Survivors include her daughters, Beverly Hollingsworth-Wiles and husband Sherman of Sulpher City, Anita Cooksey and husband Roger of Greenland, Joan Sharp and husband Jerry of Claremore, OK and Iona Young of Sulpher City; grandchildren, Greg Hollingsworth, Gail Rhodes, Scott Hollingsworth, Jerome Hollingsworth, Monica Easter, Clinton Cooksey, Sarah Cooksey, Louisa Shackelford, Eric Sharp, Mathew Sharp, Marlena Young and Lindsey Hayes; great-grandchildren, Amanda, James, Josh, Dylan, Gracie, Sophia, Emily, Elizabeth, Ashley, Hannah, Nicholas, Mary, Laura, Elijah, Emma, Kathryn, Gavin, Layla, Destiny, Makenna and Emma; great-great grandchildren, Natalie, Logan and Jerrod, and several other family members and friends.
Funeral Service will be 1PM Friday, December 20, 2019 at the First Baptist Church in Elkins, with Pastor Danny McCulley officiating. The family will receive friends 1 hour prior to the service. Burial will follow at Walnut Grove Cemetery.
