Jerry Lee DeMotte, age 81, passed away peacefully and surrounded by loved ones on Monday, May 18, 2020 at his home in Fayetteville, AR. He was born on June 2, 1938 in Topeka, KS to Joe DeMotte and Sarah DeMotte. He is preceded in death by his parents, 2 sisters and 3 brothers. He was a lifetime mechanic at multiple automobile shops, including Fisher-Buick, Pat Henry, and Frank Fletcher. He retired in 2002. He was a charter member of Round Mountain Fire Department. He enjoyed camping, fishing, gardening, and spending time with his family. He was a loving and supportive husband, dad and papa.
Survivors include his wife of 60 years, Lorretta DeMotte; one sister, Pat Gannon; one daughter, Sue Lawson and husband Gary; one son, J.D. DeMotte and wife Tammy; six grandchildren, Jennifer Minard and husband Brandon, Lorra DeMotte and wife Stephanie, Kari Cantrell and husband Mark, Tricia Stills and husband Derek, Caley DeMotte, and Garrett Lawson; and six great-grandchildren, Bryan, Vince, Madison, Emily, Beckett, Lynnlee and one on the way.
Graveside services will be held Thursday, May 21 at 2 pm at Round Mountain Cemetery in Fayetteville, AR with Tim Beers officiating. Funeral services are under the direction of Elkins Funeral and Cremation Services.
